The Civil Systems Group (CSG) is seeking a qualified individual with experience supporting program and activities of a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) customer. This position will support the Aerospace NASA Radioisotope Power Systems Program Stakeholder Engagement Team, supporting NASA GRC and the HQ Science Mission Directorate and Planetary Science Division (PSD). The incumbent is responsible for supporting multiple stakeholder engagement support activities which may include advocacy, planning, estimating, development, and execution of approved programmatic content material, focusing on bridging technical needs of the PSD customer organizations with the capabilities of the the Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) Program and the Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy partners. The candidate will develop and execute studies to support analysis, refinement and continuous improvement of mechanisms, processes and assessment criteria required to achieve organizational strategy, vision, and mission elements. The incumbent will decompose technically complex mission/system constraints to enable a broader understanding across diverse stakeholders, including both the RPS Program and the scientific user community.

This position has the option to be fully remote anywhere within the United States.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support Radioisotope Power Systems team in decomposition and execution of strategy for further growth of the HQ Science Mission Directorate and Planetary Science Division (PSD), through program management and continuous improvement activities to enhance deliverables, effectiveness, and continued growth.
- Proactively identify and remediate risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where necessary. Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
- Lead systems studies and analyses that support technical, programmatic and organizational decision-making on a variety of RPS projects.
- Conduct analysis of acquisition programs and processes to enhance efficiencies, improve program oversight, identify improvement areas, and develop resolution plans for implementation.
- Support the development of programmatic products to communicate technical messages to a diverse set of stakeholders within NASA and beyond.
- Provide day-to-day technical reporting, planning and implementation of activities related to the RPS Program stakeholder engagement efforts.
- Development of implementation plans including associated cost/milestones and executing those to reach targeted stakeholder groups.
Minimum Requirements
What You Need to be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related discipline
- 15 or more years of program/project management experience to develop and maintain effective operation management processes, reporting, procedures, and systems. Experience leading process improvement efforts to reduce time and cost for generating required deliverables.
- Must have knowledge with nuclear and radioisotope power systems.
- Must have demonstrated experience in supporting NASA or other government Program Office
- Experience in leading analysis and continuous improvement of complex organizational, programmatic, and management environments for large acquisition programs.
- Demonstrated experience with Tableau, or other visualization tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, with the ability to export, maintain, and refine data for analysis.
- Excellent written communication skills - organize complex materials and concepts in clear and logical manner.
- Demonstrated teaming and leadership skills in tasks such as formulating plans, leading studies, and utilizing internal technology competency organizations.
- Excellent verbal communication skills - clear, concise, persuasive; builds consensus through speaking; polished, professional style.
- Proven ability to build and/or maintain substantive rapport with a diverse range of senior government officials and corporate executives.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced, virtual environment.
- Ability to travel as required.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
