X-Bow Systems is expanding and looking to fill Program Control Analyst position. This role can be done remotely based out of Albuquerque, NM, Huntsville, AL or Luling, TX, with some in office meetings as needed.
As our Financial Program Control Analyst your day-to-day responsibilities will focus heavily on project set-up and reporting, proposal pricing, reporting internally and externally, and budgeting providing a high-level of service and support to the company and customers. You will be joining an existing accounting team of three, including the Sr. VP of Finance who you will report to. You will know you're successful in this role when you have learned the internal processes for project set-up, monthly and quarterly reporting, and pricing proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with pricing of RFPs, RFQs, and proposals
- Development and monitoring of budgets and EACs.
- Assist in timely delivery of contract deliverables such as cost reports and technical reports.
- Perform project set-up and maintenance in accounting system for multiple contract types including T&M, CPFF, and FFP.
- Track available labor, travel, and materials funds on contract.
- Assist in qualification review to ensure employees are charging to appropriate labor categories.
- Monitor progress of program requirements and cost performance to ensure contractual cost obligations are met.
- Identify potential financial challenges to project execution before they become critical.
- Performing other duties as assigned or required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Candidate should have a minimum of a BS degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related degree from an accredited college/university and at least 5 years of DoD experience.
- Experience conducting financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience monitoring, tracking, and analyzing the financial aspects of projects or programs.
- Experience working with government contracts, understanding contract terms and conditions, and complying with government requirements
- Experience performing project set-up and maintenance in financial systems and tools such as an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, for multiple contract types including T&M, CPFF, and FFP.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with some or all, of the following:
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Should exhibit strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Demonstrates innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, and adaptive thinking.
- Requires ability to interact professionally in a small, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and client.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential.
