In this role you will be responsible for basic maintenance and repairs, as well as proactive, preventative maintenance for our Bay area office buildings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and self-motivated attitude.

What you will do day-to-day:
This individual is responsible for the maintaining work environment for the physical plant which is comprised of 14 buildings with a total of 1 million square feet of space.
Will perform preventive maintenance as well as repairs to spectrum of HVAC equipment including: boilers, chillers, cooling towers, plumbing and electrical interfaces.
Support mechanical maintenance and repair of data center infrastructure per Maxar standards, ensuring 24X7 availability/uptime of all mission critical infrastructure.
Light to heavy commercial air conditioning (package units).
Resolve temperature comfort complaints and air balancing problems.
Work with vendors who provide capital construction, maintenance, and other services.
Interface with contractors, technicians, in-house customers in a professional manner.
Company provided work vehicle, so clean DMV record, vehicle, and work areas to be maintained.
Minimum Requirements:
This position requires a Universal EPA license and High School diploma or equivalent. Included with this will be a minimum of 3-4 years experience in a commercial, industrial and/or manufacturing environment. Residential will not be considered equivalent experience.
College level degree or trade school certification in Mechanical Engineering/HVAC-R may be considered in lieu of a maximum of 3-4 years equivalent experience dependent upon the program.
Must have experience with customer service and have the physical agility and strength necessary to access equipment
Knowledge of work order ticketing systems in creating, editing and closeout of completed tickets.
Ability to be on call.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Must be able to clearly communicate in English, in writing and speaking.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with a team of mechanical, electrical and plumbing personnel.
Field experience in a Facilities environment including: Office space, machine shop, paint shop, building circuit card assemblies, testing facilities, laboratory
Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, both pneumatic and low voltage environments, clean rooms, and hazardous material areas.
Demonstrated experience with a work order ticketing systems in creating, editing and closeout of completed tickets.
Demonstrated experience in rewiring compact fluorescent light fixtures to ballast free LED fixtures.
Demonstrated experience in performing PMs of AHUs replacing filters and belts.
Ability to interface with contractors, technicians, managers, code enforcement personnel.
