Job Summary
A member of the technical staff will directly make use of sophisticated simulation tools to perform space and ground design and analysis in support of architecture concept trade studies, requirements verification, analyses-of-alternatives (AoA), and performance modeling. This staff member will also provide technical advice for space and ground constellation-level modeling, simulation, and analysis. They will work as part of a team and collaborate with other analysts to expand their knowledge of analysis and data visualization techniques.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Contribute to analysis teams, collaborate with peers, satisfy project objectives and tasks, track performance, and complete projects
- Help with sustainment, development, and growth of simulation and analysis capabilities to support new functional areas for a diverse customer base
- Use analysis results to support recommendations for customer research, development, and acquisition decisions
- Provide technical insights in the areas of space system architecture modeling and coverage analysis
Minimum Requirements
What You Need to be Successful
- B.S. Degree in aerospace, astronautical, or mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field of science or engineering
- A history that shows personal accountability, a willingness to learn and self-correct, and an ability to adapt to changing customer expectations
- Familiarity with orbital mechanics, dynamics, or mathematics related to satellites
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- 2 years of relative experience
- A graduate degree in the fields of study mentioned above
- Graduate level course work or equivalent knowledge in orbital mechanics related to satellite access geometry
- Knowledge of C/C++, Python, or other programming languages
- Experience developing analysis results and presenting them to various sized audiences
We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
