Our long-term client relationship with KBR has led to a need for Procedures Manager - Operations Data File (ODF) on the Integrated Mission Operations Contract II (IMOC II) contract at Johnson Space Center (Houston, TX).

The Procedures Manager - Operations Data File (ODF) Will
- Provide support to Procedures Management Group in the NASA JSC Flight Operation Directorate (FOD).
- Work closely with other FOD organizations, Flight Directors, International Partners, commercial partners and other NASA organizations and centers to produce operational procedures.
- Require certification as a Procedures Book Manager and certification as an Operations Data File (ODF) Console flight controller.
- Produce procedures for the International Space Station (ISS) and Artemis programs, coordinate technical changes to procedures with flight controllers and crew, develop operations concepts documentation, review procedure change requests, schedule deliveries, and coordinate with international partners on procedure development and delivery.
- Support software requirements for procedures tools will be required.
- Support Human Space Flight and ground procedure support tools and aiding and troubleshooting user, customer issues.
- Provide software testing and quality assurance.
- Support, maintain, and document software/system functionality.
- Interface with developers and users for requirements and communicating needs and schedule.
- Provide technical suggestions to improve functionality or offer solutions the customer has not yet thought about.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Education/Experience/Skills
- BS Degree in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering or other technically related area from an accredited engineering school, college or university.
- Candidate must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, interpersonal, leadership and team working skills.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply them to assignments is essential.
- Must show the ability to respond under pressure.
- Must be able to apply technical knowledge and operations concepts to exercise effective decision making and initiative.
- Must be able to independently present technical information and design options to the customer in a clear and informative manner.
- Demonstrated self-starter who excels in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to independently gather requirements directly from the customer to fully understand the scope and nature of the task/solution being requested.
- Must be able to work independently with a variety of customers to understand their requirements.
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Must possess practical knowledge of Microsoft Operating System and Microsoft applications including Office Suite and Project.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic environment that requires working effectively both alone and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, and coordinate a wide range of tasks.
- Must be highly motivated and an energetic individual willing to learn.
- Must be able to support travel.
Preferences
- Project management experience and knowledge of XML and SharePoint is a plus.
- Experience with Agile Methodology desired.
Essential Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
