ABOUT THE ROLE: The System Integration Testing Engineer is responsible, alongside the Hardware In The Loop Lead, for the operation, maintenance, upgrade and test of the Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) system for the Electron and Neutron Launch Vehicles and Photon Satellite System.
What You'll Get To Do
- Design, implement and maintain HITL systems for testing features and improving performance of Electron and Neutron rockets
- Collaborate with various departments to develop, build, maintain and operate HITL rigs
- Ensure HITL systems are scalable, reliable, efficient, always online and ready to go
- Complete software validation and code releases
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members
You'll Bring This Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields
- 3-4+ years of experience in Systems Test, Electronics Testing or as a HITL Engineer.
- Strong background in Electronics and Software
- Proficient in Python, C/C++, C#, Matlab, or similar programming language
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience with TCP/IP networking, debugging with Oscilloscope and Logic Analysers, serial communication, and low voltage power systems
- Must be open to learning new skill sets and have a keen sense for problem solving.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have
- Experience with RF systems, harnessing design and manufacturing, and issue trackers such as Redmine, Jira, or Bugzilla
- Experience in developing software for autonomous vehicles operating in harsh environments, such as missiles, rockets, satellites, UAVs, or autonomous underwater vehicles.
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
