ACTIVE DoD TS/SCI Clearance Required **
Space Ground Systems Solutions (SGSS), a wholly owned subsidiary under the Parsons Corporation, has an immediate opening for an SCI-cleared software engineer with cloud-based computing experience working at our customer site in Washington, DC. The position will be responsible for administering cloud-based mission processing tools; identifying and designing tools to support mission requirements; and development of cloud-based application software.
Responsibilities
- Administration of cloud-based CAC enabled development hub and tools on classified and unclassified systems
- Recommendation of commercial software development and collaboration tools to support mission requirements
- Creation of best practices for cloud operations
- Port of existing tools to cloud architecture
- Development of mission specific tools deployed to cloud architecture
- Conduct regular and effective communication with external sponsors, vendors, and mission partners about delivery commitments
- Quality assurance of systems engineering products produced and maintained across the team – Requirements, test procedures and reports, decomposition and validation matrices, giver-receiver agreements, memoranda of understanding, etc.…
Required Qualifications
- ACTIVE DoD TS/SCI clearance – MUST be SCI-cleared
- Must be a US citizen
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Software Engineer
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cloud-based development and administration
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Pipelines
- Experience with Atlassian Tool suite
- Experience with Jenkins Build tools
- Experience with Docker Compose Dev-Ops
- Experience with designing and running production grade cloud services and technologies such as Docker Swarm and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Apache MESOS system
- Experience working as part of a diverse team
- Familiarity with system administration necessary to configure software installations
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervisory direction and oversight
- Ability to communicate issues to peers and management
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience with system administration of Linux operating system
- Experience using software configuration management tools
- Knowledge of industry practices, techniques and standards and proficiency with Python
- Experience with database design, implementation, and administration
- Located in Washington, DC area for on-site work at NRL during normal working hours. Offsite is not preferred but may be acceptable depending on circumstances. Offsite must have access to a SCIF and S2P
Salary Range
$79,100-$138,400
