You will serve as the Lead Public Affairs Specialist assigned to the Office of Communications within the Office of Strategic Analysis and Communications, responsible for conducting a comprehensive public affairs program for the Center.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Using public information/communications expertise when working with television and multimedia teams to produce digital content; Directing a team on the use of multimedia software, tools, and techniques for digital content campaigns; Creating and implementing a complete public communication campaign, serving as a spokesperson on behalf of an organization, writing a variety of public information content, and managing media relations.
