Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) Development Programs Defence & Security
Your Tasks
- Execution of bids (ESA, EDA, EC, NATO, export etc.), as well as technical project management for projects in the field of future space-based Defence and Security systems
- Responsibility for project success, incl. performance (schedule, cost, quality)
- Definition of project targets in co-ordination with the customer, team partners and company management; communication of project targets to all stakeholders
- Definition and management of planning for the ongoing project
- Formal interface in the project to company management, customer and relevant subcontractors and suppliers
- Lead of the project team during the entire project including subcontractors (initiation, planning, execution and completion)
- Definition of the programmatic scope for the entire life cycle of space systems and –missions (schedule planning, cost and team planning, project organisation, technology status, risk analysis and –management)
- Contribution to the definition of long-term strategy of the programme respectively of the portfolio in the company and at the customer
- Implementation of the company strategy on project level
- Coordination with Business Development, other programme directorates and possibly with the superordinate programme
- Temporarily or permanently other reasonable and equivalent activities according to existing knowledge and skills
Your Qualifications
- Completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in satellite engineering projects, preferably in Phase 0 – B1
- Strong competencies in study management, space mission design, satellite systems engineering, DDVP, technology bread-boarding and risk management
- Market and customer competence: knowledge of market developments and competition
- Strategic action: entrepreneurial thinking and acting; strong emphasis on quality; strong emphasis on cost; result orientation; Stakeholder analyses (customer, subcontractor, space agencies, company management)
- Leadership competence: situational team lead; motivation; organisation of work; conflict management; prioritisation; decision-making ability
- High motivation, pro-active working approach and strong sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
- Ability and willingness to achieve a German security clearance
- Fluency in both spoken and written (Business) English, German skills are highly desirable
