Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities
What We’re Looking For:
Iridium is seeking a Manager, Software Quality Assurance who is looking to take an exciting next step in their career. As a leader within our Software delivery team, you will be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance Test and Integration activities. In this role, you’ll be responsible for comprehensive testing, integration and validation of Iridium business and billing system releases/enhancements. You’ll be successful in this role if you are a good communicator, active listener and creative problem solver with an analytical mind. What You’ll Do:
- Mentor and train your team by performing regular check-ins, discussing career growth opportunities, giving constructive feedback, and acknowledging performance issues when necessary
- Be responsible for the creation of comprehensive test cases and plans for functional , performance, stress and regression testing needs for all assigned projects, systems, and applications
- Lead inter-departmental coordination of testing schedules, plans and results effectively to ensure that all testing needs are being assessed and addressed.
- Be accountable for effectively and accurately documenting delivery and integration results and concerns as well as communicate them to developers, stakeholders, and project managers
- Oversee the QA I&T automation design and execution efforts

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer Science or Software Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant experience in the software, unilitym or telecommunications industry
- Capable of being a strong motivator and source of direction for your team and role modelling commitment to your team’s goals
- Have a team-oriented mentality and be able to easily build meaningful relationships with others and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively to those who may be unfamiliar with the topic at hand
- Be able to analyze and understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with new and unique solutions
- Be self-motivated and possess a high degree of creativity, independence, and resourcefulness
- Have a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion and be motivated to achieve outcomes and results
- Can thrive in a dynamic environment and efficiently manage multiple projects for yourself and your team while making sure to meet deadlines
- Possess the ability to manage projects and drive deliverables to completion with a demonstrated experience in leading software and integration
- Experience with any or all of the following: Oracle BRM, Java, PHP, Perl, Cucumber, Ruby
- Skilled at understanding software integration and development practices
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
- Prior experience in Telecommunications, utility or banking software systems
- Previous management experience
We’ll also need you to:
- Be able to travel up to 10%
