GLOBAL LICENSING & ACTIVATION LEAD - LATAM
Starlink will provide high-speed broadband to the world. As a member of the Global Licensing and Activation team, you will manage a portfolio of countries, interfacing internally and externally, to enable Starlink to become licensed as an internet service provider and then to bring the country online so it can serve people and enterprises around the world in the near future.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
For each market in the Latin American region:
- Develop comprehensive and accurate understanding of telecommunications licensing requirements and timelines.
- Drive the schedule for initial market Licensing and Activation to enable rapid growth of operations.
- Obtain authorization to operate by applying for and securing necessary licenses and approvals. This will include the preparation of applications/information submittals and coordination of necessary internal inputs and reviews.
- Support and educate internal stakeholders on market licensing timeframes, working collaboratively to achieve company objectives.
- Represent and promote Starlink to national administrations, regulators, legislatures, and regional organizations.
- Take complete ownership for the activation of each market post-licensing including but not limited to driving the internal organization to complete necessary steps required to launch a market. (Entity formation, tax readiness, customs approvals, import/logistics plans, terms & conditions in appropriate format, e-invoicing, payment processor onboarded, website updated, etc)
- Post-activation, act as a country expert for the business advising on critical matters that can help us meet regulatory requirements and scale the business for success.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1+ year of experience in international business or regulatory affairs (internships may qualify).
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience interpreting and negotiating technical requirements.
- Demonstrated success working in an environment with competing priorities and aggressive schedules.
- Ability to define and manage a project independently.
- Advanced coursework or work experience in international business/studies.
- Knowledge of radiofrequency spectrum technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese.
ADDTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Must be willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year
Level II: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
