Summary
The Senior Technologist for Rotordynamic Systems reports to the Chief of the Materials and Structures Division and serves as NASA's senior technical expert in the field of rotating machinery systems and their durability, including understanding and solving problems related to performance, life, and extreme environment interactions.

Qualifications
Candidates must possess expert knowledge and at least 3 years of directly related specialized experience in rotating machinery systems and their durability as related to aerospace applications, including areas such as rotordynamic analysis, rotordynamics testing, bearings, gears, motors, lubrication, wear, and tribology. At least 1 year of this experience must have been in planning and executing difficult programs of national significance or planning and executing specialized programs that show outstanding attainments in the field of research or consultation. At least 1 year of the directly related specialized experience must be at least equivalent to experience at the GS-15 level.
