SUMMARY
As Deputy Program Manager for Blue Ghost lunar lander, you will be responsible for managing the development of our CLPS lunar lander(s). The first lander is currently going through final qualification and starting of flight integration. With a team of technical experts, you will support the PM in managing the cost and schedule of the program in addition to being the person in charge of establishing leadership at the smaller team level to run smaller projects to completion. This involves either taking on whatever the primary issue of the week is and getting it back on track and fixed through handling the PM and technical details yourself or by building small agile teams and helping lead them to victory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Blue Ghost program schedule and budget.
- Manage Integrated Master Schedule and oversee all tasking.
- Hiring, position creation, and management of program structure.
- Support the management of program finances and accounting.
- Work with our ERP system as the key tool of tracking material orders and costs
- Manage long leads and suppliers.
- Manage program risks (ID, mitigate, track).
- Serve as point of contact for NASA and other Payload customers, and represent Firefly at conferences, reviews, and investor meetings.
- Measure and report program performance.
- Negoatiate contracts, statements of work, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- BS in Aerospace Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Well organized and an ability to leverage and quickly master model tools like Jira and Confluence, in addition to basic MS tools like word, excel and powerpoint.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, preferably on US government spacecraft contracts.
- Ability to effectively work in a multi-discipline team and provide leadership, guidance, and insight.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to track and improve program performance metrics.
Desired
- Experience integrating payloads onto spacecraft or spacecraft to launch vehicles.
- Experience with deployment mechanisms or with robotics and actuators for spacecraft.
- Experience working with vendors
- Experience in writing proposals and in business development
- Experience with Risk Management
