The Avionics Engineer Technician (AET) is part of the Avionics Engineering team to support the development, testing, and maintenance of avionics systems. The AET performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects, or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from a supervisor or engineer as needed, and performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions.
- Development of avionics test benches per Engineering specifications and requirements
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of lab hardware
- Aircraft wiring harnesses assembly - Prototype Hardware
- Assemble circuit boards
- Assemble breadboard and debug circuits
- PCB design for prototypes and lab hardware
- Avionics lab maintenance and upkeep
- Equipment organization and checkout
- Maintenance and stock of electrical components parts kits
- Electronic flight hardware assembly, rework, and modification
What You Bring
- You’ll bring a minimum of 3 years of experience working hands-on with avionics systems, aircraft wiring harnesses, and electrical/mechanical installations.
The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $41,600.00–$57,200.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
