What We Need
Kymeta is looking for a Production Supervisor who will lead a highly skilled team in the assembly and testing of Kymeta’s cutting-edge antennas and satellite user terminals. The successful candidate is a hands-on, self-motivated leader who is passionate about low-volume/high-mix manufacturing, has strong analytical / problem-solving skills and has a proven track record in coaching and mentoring a diverse manufacturing team responsible for assembling complicated electromechanical devices in an ISO certified manufacturing environment. This position starts as first shift and will transition to second shift after 1 week. This position reports to the Director, Manufacturing Operations.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Leads a team of employees whose primary focus is on execution of manufacturing processes to meet daily, monthly, and annual business goals
- Ensures adherence to all manufacturing and quality procedures at all times
- Communicates and drives daily execution goals in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity in the Kymeta factory
- Coordinates workload and material needs with planning and supply chain group to support and lead daily operations
- Develops employee training plans and maintains training records and cross training activities
- Actively identifies, leads, and participates in activities to drive factory efficiency and reduce operational costs, continuous production improvement projects (5S and LEAN manufacturing) and quality corrective action activities
- Displays excellent teamwork and ability to interact with a wide range of functions (Materials, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Test, etc.)
- Responsible for hiring, training, motivating, and coaching employees
- Demonstrates the highest ethical standards, actively promotes trust, respect, and integrity in all dealings both inside and outside the Company
- Adaptable to dynamic, challenging job responsibilities and rapidly evolving production processes
Skills And Experience
- 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role managing assemblers in a production environment
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of LEAN manufacturing, continuous improvement, standard work, 5S, material replenishment, etc
- Ability to align forecast with manufacturing capacity to develop labor planning and allocations of resources
- Experience with MES/ERP system deployment and operational execution
- Experience in ISO9001 as it relates to manufacturing processes
- Experience in bringing up new production areas and processes to support rapid new product introduction activities
- Experience in hiring and developing new assembly personnel in a production environment
- Ability to lift 40+lbs
- Ability to communicate information using standard Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Office, Power Point, Project and Visio
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
Compensation
Kymeta is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In the spirit of pay transparency, we have determined the salary range for this position to be $75k -$115k. This is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would be atypical, in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. Compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and geography. The total compensation package for this position includes an annual target bonus of 10%, stock options, and benefits listed below. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
