The Human Spaceflight Systems Engineer will have the opportunity to play in a role in various commercial space endeavors. Responsibilities
We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time if and when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. The Human Spaceflight Systems Engineer - Commercial will: Apply systems engineering principles and techniques to requirements validation, product development, product integration, requirements verification, system validation, and hardware/software product deployment. Build an understanding of the product life cycle to perform concept trade studies, requirements management, test & verification, and modeling and analysis. Investigate process improvement initiatives that promote the progression of Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) expertise within a more digitized SE&I environment. Establish working relationships with customer counterparts, requirement owners, and commercial teammates\' key personnel to promote SE&I functions. Support SE&I activities such as requirements identification, development, verification, and tracking Develop processes and strategies to support cross-functional teams supporting integration, analysis, and testing. Provide technical systems knowledge during major project milestones and project reviews. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications

Depending on the candidate\'s experience, position requirements and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised Required Education/Experience/Skills: Currently enrolled in a BS degree program in Engineering at an accredited engineering school with an anticipated graduation no later than May 2023. - OR - BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school. - OR - BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school, plus five (5) years of related engineering experience. - OR - BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school, plus ten (10) years of related engineering experience. - OR - BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school, plus fifteen (15) years of related engineering experience. - OR - BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school, plus twenty (20) years of related engineering experience. Introductory knowledge of product life cycle development, systems engineering & integration principles, and knowledge of associated engineering disciplines. Introductory knowledge of systems engineering practices associated with the definition, design, development, verification, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of complex systems. General knowledge of data digitization systems (DDS), tools, or initiatives that promote the digitization of the systems engineering & integration discipline. Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams). Preferences: INCOSE Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP).
