Primary Responsibilities:
- Support digital engineering efforts to integrate system performance and behaviors into operational analysis.
- Lead and manage mission-level modeling and simulation studies to assess system performance, inform design trades, and evaluate overall effectiveness.
- Integrate models with high-level simulations executed.
- Support creation of models, simulations, and analysis products
- Develop new models and processes, enhance current tool capabilities, and perform enterprise level analyses.
- Support the development of technology concepts which improve system performance and mission capabilities.
- Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team.
- Lead project execution
- Foster a collaborative team environment.
- Actively engage with program teams to provide solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and specifications.
- Coordinate inputs for Enterprise Specification
Must-haves:
- Bachelor of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically ten (10) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Relevant work experience may substitute for required education.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices
- Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Excellent organizational, self-initiative, and communication skills
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Creative problem solver, able to offer visual solutions.
- Familiar with Enterprise Architect
- Previous Requirements Management experience
Preferred:
- Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
- Experience with leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures.
- Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Cameo, STK, Matlab, Python, and Java
- Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
- Background in human spaceflight
- Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures.
- Ability to work with minimal information or direction to formulate proposed plans for resolving design/requirement solutions.
- Ability to establish and track key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)
- Experience presenting technical content and communicating effectively.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,552.10 - $165,759.14
