Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining and overseeing the approach and implementation of system planning for test and verification activities in all phases of program activities (conception through disposal).
- Coordination with other SEIT Focus Area leads to capture and implement complementary processes based in MBSE.
- Work in a model-based systems engineering environment.
- Functional management of the homeroom group of engineers
Must-haves:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related discipline and typically 14 (fourteen) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Deep understanding of test planning, including verification activities planning, simulation, and test execution
- Demonstrated desire to improve upon legacy industry SEIT processes and practices, with the goal of efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices
- Working experience with the following: multi-disciplinary design and development teams, Systems Engineering modelling tools & analysis applications, excellent organizational and communication skills, self-starter, creative problem solver, able to offer visual solutions, and functional management.
Preferred:
- Advanced understanding of systems analysis practices, requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
- Knowledge of industry standard systems engineering design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with Cameo, System Modelling Workbench
- Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
- Background in human spaceflight
- Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures.
- Ability to work with minimal information or direction to formulate proposed plans for resolving design/requirement solutions.
- Experience presenting technical content and communicating effectively.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $159,430.15 - $219,216.46
