Summary
The Office of Management and Planning (OMP) provides financial, procurement, human resources, administrative, and information technology (IT) services support to the OIG staff. The OMP ensures state-of-the-art IT systems capabilities for the OIG, advises the Inspector General and OIG senior management on budget issues and human resources staffing matters, directs OIG internal management and support operations, and oversees development of and adherence to management policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-11, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level: Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: Assisting in evaluating the effectiveness of a variety of administrative programs, processes, and operations such as records and property management, travel, telework, awards, and diversity and inclusion. Performing a variety of analytics using data contained in various automated personnel and payroll systems and or/ financial and reporting systems. Participating in drafting documents and briefing materials. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education or completion of all requirements for an LL.M., if related. leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Public Policy, Public Administration, Finance, Economics, Political Science, or other directly related field. OR Combination: You must have a combination of the specialized experience and graduate level education as described above that totals 100% when combined. You must have a combination of the specialized experience and graduate level education as described above that totals 100% when combined. To calculate your combination, first determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determine your education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. Only graduate education in excess of 2 years (36 semester) hours may be combined with experience at the GS-11 level. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: Evaluating and analyzing data to determining the effectiveness of financial systems or applications and making recommendations for enhancements. Establishing and updating operating procedures or processes based on findings. Preparing, collecting, analyzing and presenting data and reports/projects related to analytical methods. Recommending process improvements and corrective actions for complex procurement process problems.
