Space Forge is a fast-growing in-space manufacturing company based in Cardiff, UK. We are developing the world’s first returnable and re-launchable satellite platform, the ForgeStar. Space Forge is transforming return from space to enable new techniques to produce products and services for the benefit of all.
The ForgeStar can support a wide array of missions, from in-space manufacturing of new materials and microgravity research, to planetary landing systems and deep space exploration.
We are looking for a Licensing and Regulation Manager to further develop our relationships with regulators and oversee our various licence applications. You will be closely involved in the negotiation of the use of landing zones for our upcoming missions and ensuring that our licence applications are completed on time and to a high standard. You will also be responsible for maintaining our relationships with various regulators and staying up to date and informed about the regulatory environment in which we operate.
The primary roles for this job are:
- Overseeing Licensing applications
- Supporting negotiations for the use of landing locations
- Developing and maintaining relationships with Regulators
- Coordinating across teams to gather the required information for licencing applications
Requirements
Key areas of responsibility:
- Spaceflight licences
- Understanding and advising on the regulatory environment
Relevant experience:
- Previous experience with assembling and submitting complicated licensing applications
- 3-5 years experience engaging with regulators and public bodies
Desirable experience:
- Previous Space Sector experience
- Previous experience with engaging with international governments
- An understanding of the space regulatory environment
