Summary
You will serve as manager for the NASA Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) in the Education Programs Office, responsible for overall management with authority over budgets, initiatives, and schedules. NASA's EPSCoR helps states develop an academic research enterprise directed toward long-term, self-sustaining, nationally competitive capabilities and includes partners from academia, industry, and state and local governments.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Performing program/project management which includes project formulation, implementation, and financial management; Managing or contributing to technical projects or programs related to research and development in science, engineering, technology, and/or mathematics; Working with, or within, a higher education system, e.g., as faculty, administrator, or project manager, which includes student engagement, research funding, and/or overall administration; Working with administration of grants, cooperative agreements, and/or awards, including drafting of solicitations and grants/assistance management processes and techniques.
