Position Purpose: The Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist will beresponsible for the management and oversight of category specific major,technically complex subcontracts, and related activities in support of BlueCanyon Technology customer programs. This position will participate in bothsubcontract management and commodity specific category supplier management.Additionally, this role will entail supplier sourcing, leading RFP andproposal evaluations, negotiations, and management of the supplierthroughout the subcontract life cycle, with responsibility for the supplierrelationship and contractual performance.Title: Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist IIPosition Type: Full TimePay Range: $63,000-$110,000(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge,skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignmentwith market data.)Location: LafayetteBenefits:100% company paid health, dental and vision benefits for you and yourdependents effective the first of the month following hire dateLife insurance401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contributionGenerous PTO (3 weeks of vacation + 3 floating holidays, 2 weeks of sicktime, 7 paid holidays throughout the year) and parental leave.Break rooms stocked with snacks and drinksJob Responsibilities:Execute and manage category specific major, high dollar spacesegment/subsystemResponsible for all aspects of category subcontract execution from proposalthrough productResponsible for leading the development of category supplier strategicrelationships and alignment of suppler capabilities to mission requirements.Develop and maintain risk assessments, performance tracking, and to drivesupplier performance to subcontractAuthor subcontract and statement of work documentsResponsible for supplier sourcing, solicit and lead supplier proposalevaluations; employ value analysis techniques to analyze cost/price,technical capability and financial viability, investigate supplier'sability to perform within the proposed cost, technical, and scheduleparametersIdentify supplier risk and opportunities to achieve program objectives;develop risk assessments, manage supplier risk through targeted negotiationstrategies/plans in conjunction with the Subcontract ManagementTeam/technical leads; lead subcontract negotiations.Owns the management of supplier contractual performance throughout thesubcontracting lifecycle; resolve supplier performance issues and anyinternal BCT issues that affect supplier performanceRepresent Supply Chain Management at various levels on cross functional teamsto drive business success, cultivate and maintain strong workingrelationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.Perform all subcontract administrative and management functions includingmodifications, manage subcontract funding, track subcontractor spendplan, milestone payment plans, cash flow and monitor variances; evaluateaccuracy, and authorize payment of invoices; solicit Engineering ChangeProposals, review Prime Contract modifications to include relevant changesin subcontract modificationsEnsure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards andin compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as wellas company policies and directives.Maintain a regular and predictable workDrive to improve current processes and proceduresOther responsibilities as assignedRequired Qualifications/Education:8 years or more related experience with Supply Chain/procurementexperience, including execution and oversight of cost type and firm fixedprice subcontracts in support of DoD and/or NASA customers.BS/BA preferredAbility to effectively relate with others and cooperate as a teamDemonstrated ability to build effective relationships at all levels of theorganizationAdvanced FAR/DFARStrong interpersonal and organizationStrong communication skills (both oral and written).Prior experience as a subcontract's management professional at a 1st or 2ndtier Aerospace & Defense contr
