MAINTENANCE INVENTORY SPECIALIST
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice and procedures
- Perform picking function to create necessary kits of parts, material, and hardware as required and assuring that all parts are accounted for and available in kit
- Identify and correct storage and handling conditions for inventoried spares
- Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock
- Perform cycle counts
- Perform good housekeeping chores in area
- Effectively utilize ERP system
- Coordinate internal receipt pickup and internal delivery service as required
- Ability to acknowledge and take receipt of all incoming materials and packages, identify receipt in ERP system, and transport to receiving inspection, stockroom or identified location as necessary
- Support the packaging of inventory
- Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers and quantity as required
- Coordinate emergency purchases
- Assist with procurement quotes, documents, etc. to support maintenance requirements
- Assemble racks, look for parts, organize supplies as needed
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment per safety procedures
- Evaluate hazardous receipts/shipments and determine applicable methodology and packaging specifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of inventory control experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or commercial aircraft environment
- Experience with an ERP system
- Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft suite
- Certification operating a forklift or other material handling motorized vehicles and equipment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to gain forklift certification
- Ability to work while standing on lifts and ladders
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime, and weekends, as needed. Estimated shift time is 1st shift: 5 AM – 3:30 PM
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
